The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently released the latest data on the development of 5G: as of the end of August, China has opened over 1 million 5G base stations, including over 500000 shared 5G base stations, covering all prefecture level and above cities in the country. The number of 5G base stations in China accounts for 18% of the total number of 4G base stations; 5G terminal connectivity ranks first in the world in terms of digital connectivity.

According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, more than 2900 5G networks have been opened in county-level administrative regions in China, and 29 provinces (districts, cities) have achieved 5G network connectivity in counties. 14000 townships across the country have opened 5G networks, accounting for over 40%.

From a global perspective, China's 5G construction and development have taken the lead, achieving significant results in areas such as technology, standards, industry, and applications. At present, there are over 10000 innovative 5G application cases in China, with over 70% and 80% of the world's 5G base stations and 5G terminal connections built, respectively, ranking first in the world.

As the scale of 5G networks continues to expand, various 5G integrated applications are accelerating their implementation. Various parties in the industry are actively exploring application scenarios, carrying out pilot demonstrations, and have formed a good development situation of "promoting use through construction and combining construction with use".
